Cool Bloggers Walking Club

Thanks to Elisabeth, Cool Bloggers Walking Club is happening again this April. You don’t have to be a blogger, I’m not sure I’m “cool”, but I AM walking for at least 10 minutes every day in April. Well, almost every day. Last week was a challenging week (see previous post!), so I missed a walk on Friday. But otherwise I’m into it. I took part last year and really enjoyed it.
It’s been good because last weekend was a solo parenting weekend with the kids (Al worked both days), and usually I just wouldn’t walk those days. But because of CBWC I got a little creative. On Saturday I was up early so had a lovely walk at 7.20am before breakfast and Al left for walk.

Spotted some mushrooms as big as my hand
Then later in the day Mum and I took the kids to a gorgeous park and playground, and I took a 10 minute walk around the park. On Sunday I took the kids to visit my parents, and while there I took a walk around their neighbourhood.

And yesterday I had E home with me (first day of two weeks of school holidays), so at lunchtime I took her to park and I did 20 minutes of loops around the park while she played. it was such a nice outing, and finished with a donut each and a coffee for me. What a treat.

Mission accomplished. Today and tomorrow will be easier because I’m in the office, so I’ll be doing my lake walks. It’s definitely more enjoyable walking this week because it’s been sunny and mild, just right for walking. Autumn is here and I’m loving it.
Anyone else participating in CBWC this year?
Is the weather improving where you live too?
Yes, that's the good thing about a challenge like this. You find ways to make it happen, when you otherwise wouldn't.
Our weather is... deteriorating. (Ha, I looked up good antonym's for "improve.") Winter is our tie for beautiful weather, and now we're looking at a hot, humid, and rainy summer. We've actually had a few nice (ie not as hot) days this week, and I'm savoring those.
Love the photo of E in the tree!
Ahh, to be barefoot in a tree. Haha. Those pics look amazing! Like first one looks like it would be inside a botanical garden or something! I mostly just walk the same loop around our local neighborhood park. It's nothing too special, and does not have tropical looking foliage, lol, but it does have a VERY pretty pond that I greatly enjoy! :) And lots of geese/bird activity, which is fun to watch.
Our weather is still pretty crappy but it will be nice next weekend which I am looking forward to. My participation has not been great, though. I did best on the weekend. Week days were tough because market volatility which impacted work and then Will’s surgery. Phil leaves for a work trip on Wednesday so I will have a tough week but figure it can only get better from here! I did fit in a walk through like skyway system on the 1st though! I would not have taken that walk if not for the challenge!
Yes...I'm walking - haha. Though I definitely wouldn't be without CBWC! I need the nudge this spring.
Love all the pictures and I'm patiently waiting for your first kangaroo sighting!!!
